Comparing Dermapen, Microderm, and Chemical Peels

NeckTite Procedure

Many people are looking for different ways to rejuvenate their skin. Luckily, there are many different treatments available to suit just about every person and their individual desired results.

Many seek procedures because they have age spots or skin pigmentation issues. Others may simply be seeking ways to look younger, and skin rejuvenation for the face and/or hands can certainly help. There are several situations where skin rejuvenation can help, including:

• Blotchy or discolored pigmentation
• Broken capillaries or vessels that can cause pinkness or flushing
• Telegiectasia or spider veins
• Age spots

At Laser Lipo and Vein Center, we offer several different skin rejuvenation processes, including Dermapen, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels. Here is a quick look at these different skin rejuvenation methods.

Dermapen

Dermapen, or micro-needling, is a technique that affects the area below the skin’s surface to heal and rebuild tightness and elasticity. The Dermapen procedure is a wonderful option for those seeking to treat wrinkles, scars, and even stretch marks.

During the Dermapen treatment, a special tool with tiny needles is moved over the skin. The minute punctures to the skin then stimulate elastin and collagen production, producing healthier skin.

Microdermabrasion

The microdermabrasion procedure will improve the appearance of the skin by removing some of the surface layer of the skin. The procedure entails a light abrasion technique where tiny abrasive crystals are sprayed on to the skin to loosen the dead skin cells, while a light suction technique removes those cells to reveal the healthy skin. This procedure is often done in conjunction with chemical peels.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels actually cleanse the skin on a deeper level, along with removing dead skin to provide a younger look by revealing new, healthy skin growth. Chemical peels use acidic solutions and are offered in various levels, from mild to deep peels, depending on the individual needs of the client. Chemical peels are used to treat a variety of skin issues, include acne scars, uneven tone, fine lines, and wrinkles.
