The Technology Behind FaceTite
FaceTite uses the BodyTite radiofrequency assisted liposuction technique, except that with the FaceTite procedure, there are no aspiration or suctioning aspects. Areas that can be treated with the FaceTite treatment include the forehead, neck, cheeks, jowls, nasolabial folds, and just about any other area located above the shoulders.
During the procedure, the area to be treated is numbed using a local anesthetic. A handheld FaceTite device is used and a tiny cannula is inserted just under the skin, with radiofrequency energy being delivered through the cannula. The heat emitted by this energy will instantly tighten the skin to create the lifted, youthful results.
While some results will be instantaneous, continued improvements will be seen over the next few weeks as new collagen is produced and further skin tightening occurs. Most patients will need only one treatment; however, this will depend on the individual’s skin laxity and desired results.
Because the FaceTite procedure is minimally invasive and requires no general anesthesia, recovery and downtimes are minimal, with patients able to return to normal routines almost immediately. The entire procedure lasts about 40 minutes and requires no incisions, simply tiny pinpricks that will health quickly. The FaceTite procedure also produces long-lasting effects — up to five years.
It is important to note that FaceTite will not remove fat deposits in and around the neck or jowls. If you are looking for fat deposit removal in these areas, you will probably benefit from the BodyTite procedure, which actually combines the radiofrequency technique with a gentle liposuction procedure to remove the fat.
