Are you experiencing the loss of your eyelashes, or perhaps you’ve always had less than thick lush lashes? Often, the lack of thick lashes can be associated with aging and a less than attractive look. If you are looking for a way to throw away those artificial lashes and grow your own thicker, fuller lashes, consider the Latisse Eyelash Treatment.

Lattise Treatment is an FDA-approved treatment that can help you achieve thicker, longer, and darker lashes. Lattise affects the growth phases of the eyelashes by increasing the length of the growth phase in conjunction with increasing the number of hairs during the growth phase.

Latisse is applied once a day to the eyelashes. You may experience new growth with four weeks, with complete results seen in about 16 weeks. Below you will find some FAQs about this treatment.

If you are interested in learning more about Latisse treatment or other cosmetic procedures, please give us a call at Laser Lipo and Vein Center to schedule a complimentary consultation. Dr. Wright and his staff will discuss and questions you may have about Latisse or other procedures and treatments. We strive to ensure patient satisfaction to each and every client!

Latisse is only FDA approved for eyelashes, but we know from having had our patients and employees try it that is does work for eyebrows as well!

Can I get Latisse prescriptions for six months or a year? How often are check-ups needed?

Monthly check-ups are not needed. I think it is reasonable to check a patient back the following month after initiating Latisse to check on any side effects and to monitor progress. It might be reasonable again to check in at 3 months. Thereafter, I think it would be fine to get the Latisse product for 3-6 months at a time.

I’ve been using Latisse for three days, and the skin around my eyes gets very itchy after I apply it. Is this normal, or could I be having an allergic reaction?

Yes, Latisse can do that as well as other products. If it continues, then you might not be able to use it, for the itchiness will intensify.

Here is what I tell my patients to do at night. After washing and drying your face, apply your eye product, but not all the way down to the lash line. Then apply the Latisse. Wait a minute for it to dry, and then you can lie down and go to sleep.
